Barcelona, Spain

As I traveled to Barcelona, Spain for my first time, I was amazed by the beautiful architecture and vibrant energy of the buzzing city. I wandered around the historic streets, admiring the works of the legendary architect Antoni Gaudi, including the colorful Park Guell and the towering Sagrada Familia. I also enjoyed exploring the local markets trying out the traditional Spanish dishes like paella and various tapas. The nightlife of Barcelona was a major highlight of my trip, with lively bars and clubs giving me a real taste of the city's famous party scene. Overall, my experience in Barcelona was a good balance of culture, history and fun and would recommend to anyone looking for a well-rounded city trip.

Patatas Bravas

  • A popular Spanish dish featuring fried potatoes served with a spicy tomato sauce. Can't go wrong with these fried delicious potato chunks!

Gazpacho

  • A cold soup made with tomatoes, peppers, and other vegetables.

Estrella Damm

  • A popular Catalan beer that is widely available in most bars and restaurants.

Vermouth

  • A popular aperitif in Spain, made with fortified wine and flavored with various herbs and spices.

Cava

  • A sparkling wine produced in the Catalonia region, similar to champagne but with its own unique flavor.

Sangria

  • A fruity wine-based drink served with chopped fruit and often mixed with brandy or other spirits. All of the Sangria styles are so unique, I had to try at every local Barcelona restaurant.
